Reversing the Edge

The reason of this blog, is to share the Scriptural truths and realizations that I have (and still am) come to. Now, you will hear this a lot in the future, DO NOT take what I say as absolute truth. Look to the the Bible for that; all I'm sharing here is what I have come to find. And even if I'm right, there will always be more to any area, than I will EVER comprehend. We could read through the Bible a thousand times in our life, and we still wouldn't get it all. So, my point is, don't say, "This is true because Reversed Edge said it was." Only say it's true, if you do the footwork to follow me up, and you feel God speaking to you, telling you that it is the truth: read your Bible, pray and ask God for wisdom and discernment, and ask God to show you what is true.

I'm calling this blog "Reversing the Edge," because I hope to help those of us who don't know how to use our swords, to become skilled warriors. What do I mean? God gave us a sword; He gave us the Bible. His word -- the only true and pure thing in our mortal existence; and the only means to resisting the evil in this world Now, most people in today's world that claim to be Christians, are unfortunately not very well trained in the areas that should be mandatory for "little-Christs."

EXAMPLE: Julie is a Christian, but she doesn't read her Bible often. She's just a "Sunday morning Christian" so to speak. One day, Julie tells Madison that she is a Christian. She even goes so far as to tell Madison a verse she heard in church the previous weekend. The verse was about fleeing lust. A week later, however, Madison sees Julie clearly trying to get a guy's attention, via his eyes. When Madison asked Julie about it later, in relation to the verse she had spoken before, Julie quickly makes an excuse, or changes the meaning in her own way. Madison, being Biblically uneducated, accepts this. So, Julie used her sword (her Bible) to try to give a good impression of Christ to Madison. But, in the end, she ended up cutting herself with her own sword. She damaged the image of the body of Christ. Why did this happen? Because she tried to fight an enemy, when she had never even picked up her sword, prior to that event.

Now, I'm not saying, "Don't try to help people if you're not a Bible scholar." I'm simply saying that we shouldn't be unequipped; at ANY given time. So, this blog gets the title from its purpose -- to help my fellow brethren in Christ, in any way I can. And, with God's help, we can learn to stop accidentally cutting ourselves, and to face out blades towards our one true enemy -- Lucifer; Satan; The King of Lies; etc.

On that note, any and everything I post here is going to be direct. I WILL NOT sugar-coat the truth here. If I share something from my studies, I will NOT water it down. If I see something in the world that I think should be called out, I WILL explicitly speak against it, WITH Biblical facts.

I'm not a seminary graduate; and I'm not some guy who sits in his room all day, everyday, reading his Bible. BUT, I am one who is seeking knowledge and wisdom, through God, as though they were hid treasures.

As for my future entries, I can't guaranty any sort of schedule or time frame. My life is pretty hectic right now, and time is precious. So if I post 3 entries in one week, and then nothing for the next two, don't be surprised. I will continue to post as often as possible.

I thank you all for looking into this blog, and I hope that you will continue to check back.
